Sanctified Journey of Lord Krishna's Devotee Jaya Deva (Compilation of all chapters)

Prologue      
This story is about the magnificent Journey of Lord Krishna's devotee. A phenomenal devotee who lived about five hundred years ago, in a village called Bilvagam, near the sacred city of Jagannath-Puri in the state of Orissa. He is most known for his epic poem Gita Govinda, which explicate about sacred love between Radha and Krishna. A lot of adventurous incidents which happened in his life as it would enrapture everyone and more so, it would help us to know what real bhakthi is.

Chapter 1

This part is about the glory of Jaya Deva's birth. He is most known for his epic poem Gita Govinda, which explicate about Krishna's love with Radha.

In a village, Narayana Shastri and his wife Kamala bai lived a sacred life.Their regular work is to do worship God and rend food to the needy people. One day, Kamala bai submitted her prayer at the feet of Lord Krishna.

On the next day, Lord Krishna came into Narayana's dream and said that he would fulfill her wife's request.

Narayan Sastri was submerged in happiness and after aurora, he shared his rejoice with Kamala bai and asked what she has prayed yesterday.

She retorted that she asked Lord Krishna as to bless with a child. After hearing this, he became very wroth, and uttered that she could have been asked to have everlasting devotion.

Lord Krishna came into his dream again and instructed him not to scold his wife.

After a couple of months, Jaya Deva had been born into their family as per God's blessings.

Chapter 2

Jaya Deva had grown up with reciting the glory of god. In due course of time, his parents decided to wedlock Jaya Deva with Padmavathi and it happened in a blissful way as well.

Their life had preoccupied with full of devotedness. Despite leading a poor life, they had never forgotten to rend food after their daily Pooja process.

He had been in the work of compiling Githa Govinda and in that, he asserted Radha as "Put lotus blossom feet like a snow flower on Krishna's despaired body". 

Jaya Deva traumatized after he glance over his lines and he felt very guilt within himself. At fine morning, Jaya Deva told to Padma that he has gonna take a bath in the river by applying some oil in his body.

After quite some time, in the amidst of cooking, Padma found that Jaya Deva has arrived along with half bath and oil diffused body either.

Jaya Deva said that he has gotten some beautiful lines while taking bath and so that he needs to penned those lines in the manuscript before forgot. Jaya Deva wrote and then, he asked Padma to keep it back in the same place.

Jaya Deva and Padma had performed their as usual Pooja. Jaya Deva asked Padma to bring up manuscripts and meanwhile, he expressed that he got some fallible lines in the morning.

While Jaya Deva was about to write the lines, he got astonished after seeing it because the line which he assumed as fallible was written in the manuscript. Subsequently, he questioned Padma whether she has written in the manuscript.

Padma said that she has seen when Jaya deva has come in the middle of bath and wrote the lines in the manuscript. And She asked him to notice the oil imprints in the manuscript. 

Aftermath, Jaya Deva realised that the Lord Krishna has come and written in that. 

Jaya Deva said to Padma that she was very fortunate as to have seen the vision of Lord Krishna. Both of them subsumed in this magnificent miracle of Lord Krishna.

Chapter 3

In a village, a businessman Bhagavan Das were eagerly awaited as to meet the Jaya Deva once in his lifetime. As by incidentally, he got prospect to meet Jaya Deva at the bank of the river. 

Bhagavan Das requested Jaya Deva to make a visit to his house and Jaya deva had shown hesitation and then, he consented to Das's request. Jaya Deva catered Satsang and he explained about the ways to reach God and then, he stayed the whole night in his house.

When Jaya Deva was about to leave the house, Bhagavan Das presented him gold and dresses though he refused. Das had instructed his servants to keep jewellery in a bullock cart and asked them to extradite in Jaya Deva's house. 

When they went through the Jungle, a few muggers came and clinched all the jewels. Jaya Deva had not concerned about anything and subsequently, he started to walk towards his house.

The muggers assumed that he has gonna inform the people who are living nearby and they dumbed him after cutting off his limbs. And they all fled with jewelry.

His wife, Padma had been starting to lament about his husband.The people solace her by saying that he would have been doing meditation at somewhere.

Jaya Deva didn't relinquish the habit of reciting the Lord Krishna's name despite he was thrown away by robbers near by the well.

When an honest and benevolent king passing through the Jungle, abruptly he felt very thirsty and so, he looked up for water. While he was in the process of searching, he found Jaya Deva nearby the well. 

As he was not aware about Jaya Deva, he raised up queries about him. Subsequently, the king became disturbed and asked Lord shiva that how it could happen to this divine soul. 

He carried off Jaya Deva to his palace and rendered with required medicines. Before meeting Jaya Deva, the king was sought for spiritual Guru for a long while. 

After Jaya Deva got recovered, he rendered Satsang to the king and therefore, a benevolent king had requested Jaya Deva to be as his Guru and eventually he consented his request either.

One day, the king hesitantly asked Jaya Deva about the details of the family. He said that his wife Padma has been living in a bilvagam village. On the next day, the king ordered his soldiers as to bring in the Jaya Deva's wife. Padma didn't know the reason behind the summon of the king.

While Padma had seen his husband Jaya Deva in that position, she howled loudly and asked how this miserable incident had occurred to him. Padma decided to live her remaining life by serving him.

Chapter 4

One day Jaya Deva and the benevolent king decided to distribute the gold and substance to the needy people. The robbers who had broken Jaya Deva's limbs came to know about this process of the King.

The robbers had formulated the plan as to obtain by guile way and so, they disguised as if they were casual people. The people obtained gold and substance one after another, whereas disguised robbers suddenly got shocked by seeing Jaya Deva over there.

The robbers had shown hesitation, but Jaya Deva welcomed them warm-heartedly and requested the robbers to receive a matter of gold and substance, meanwhile the king had been watching the skeptical actions of them. 

The king ordered his soldiers to go along with them till their home. While they pass through the jungle, one soldier questioned them whether they had known Jaya Deva earlier.

"Jaya Deva had stolen all the prestigious things from the people and so, the head of the people asked us to cut down his limbs", robbers said. And they claimed that they had broken his limbs as per the order.

Even the earth couldn't bear this rigging words of the robbers. The Earth had opened it's layer and took the robbers inside.

The soldiers couldn't able to believe their eyes after being witnessed this incident. 

Chapter 5

Jaya Deva and the king had shocked after hearing that drastic incident and without delay they both arrived to the incident place.

The king felt that the robbers had incurred punishment on account of their bad actions, but instead of being like him that Jaya Deva took the blame on himself.

"Whoever they would be, but they came as my guest. I should have sent them off with more protection. Leaving this body by falling into the cavity is the only remedy,"  thus Jaya Deva said to himself.

The king took aback while he had seen Jaya Deva attempting to fall into the cavity and instantly he restrained and said to him, "I too would fall into the cavity in case if you fell into".

But Jeya Deva didn't secede from his decision and he was suddenly fainted by suffocation. 

"Oh my shiva! Is this Dharma? Has it could happen by your grace? Shambho! Shankara! Mahadeva!", the king lamented and screamed for long hour.

Whereupon a heavy pleasant sound echoed, the Lord Shiva and Parvathi had appeared. 

The Lord shiva smirked like a shining sunflower, "Dear! Pleased with your devotion! Jaya Deva has not died and he has obliged to do lots of work hence upon, he will get back his limbs soon", said.

"Jaya Deva! Wake up", said Lord shiva.

Jaya Deva opened his eyes. While beholding the darshan of Lord shiva and Parvathi, "Haa! What a fortunate opportunity! Now I had attained the benefit of this birth! I obtained the prospect of thine dharshan by the robbers! Who could have saved me rather than you?", thus praised his glory.

Lord Shiva rejoiced and said, "Jaya Deva! Ask your boon without hesitation". 

JayaDeva was floating on cloud nine aftermath. 

"My god! These robbers have to attain Mukti. This is all what I required", he said.

"Jaya Deva! Your aspiration would get fulfilled. As per your words, I'm accepting these robbers", said Lord Shiva.

Aftermath Jaya Deva and the king were floated in the sky by this miracle of God.

Chapter 6

Jaya Deva's wife Padmavathi and the queen spent their time by discussing about mythical stories, thereby padmavati preached about the glory of God.

One fine afternoon, Padmavati had been talking about the history of Seethai, Savitri and Chandramadhi.

"Those had happened, according to that period. Women are yet living by considering their husband as a God, have been serving them and his belongings. None can sacrifice their lives for their husband in this age period", thus the queen said.

Promptly padmavati said, "Virtuous women would live in any era". But the queen ceaselessly kept forth her opinion.

"You misunderstood my words. Women in chastity will die soon after they hear that her husband is dead, those were mentioning as lived unified in two bodies", said Padmavathi.

The queen face blazed with angered. "She is haughty on herself of being virtuous. Isn't life is trivial thing to renouncing? Why didn't she give up her life soon after her husband had lost his limbs?", thus the queen thought and went off.

Aftermath the queen called up her servants, "Kill a bird and imprint the bird's blood on Jaya's cloth, bring up that cloth and do inform us that Jaya Deva was killed by a tiger", thus said. The servants affirmed to do with half-heartedness.

The queen came back to Padma, " My friend! A tiger has attacked both Jaya Deva and the king, when they are in the jungle. I've sent servants to collect the further information", expressed with grief-stricken.

Padmavathi face shrank. "What! Is it indeedly happened! Krishna! Only You can save them upon!", she howled.

Instantly the servants came, shown Jaya's cloth, " Amma! Jaya Deva was killed by a tiger. How this unfortunate death could happen to a pure soul?", thus lamented.

"What! Is it indeedly happened?", padma said and froze with shocks.

"Do I require to live furtherly on this earth?", she screamed and then her body slumped upon the earth.

The queen stretched her hand to hold padmavati but only the dead body had fallen on her hand.

"Alas! I failed to understand the fame of virtuous women! How I lost my intellect? What would I describe to the king after he arrives?", said the queen with fluttered.

In due time, an old man came over there. "Princess! I've just now seen the light of Padma. Despite, the respectful Jaya Deva can bring back her, So don't give up your life. Do keep her body inside the room", said old man.

She consented to his request and quickly she prepared to keep her body in the room.

Chapter 7

Padma's death news spread throughout the entire city.  The people murmured, "What would gonna happen after the king arrives?". 

When Jaya Deva and the king entered the city, they had noticed the unusual actions of people. The king, "What's the reason behind their strange behavior?", asked himself.

The entire palace seemed gloomy and this further more set the king on high shock. Abruptly queen's screaming sound echoed, he headed towards the room from which sound originates.

When the queen's friend explained the incident, "Alas! What a merciless activity! Stupid queen! You now have earned the curse by have been killing the brahmin woman! How could you be a woman?", the king yelled.

"My Padmavathi! You left this world soon after you heard that I had died? Why had you done this injustice to me? You have stood by me in all the impossible way. How can I live peacefully henceforth?", Jaya Deva howled loudly.

The king became very wroth, "Stupid queen! It's not even wrong by killing you", said and leaped on her with a knife.

Despite Jaya Deva doesn't have limbs, he ran as to refrain the king from committing wrong action. 

In the meantime, While Jaya Deva attempts to resist, his limbs had grown back. His hands blocked the king's hand intactly and so, the queen had fallen under the king's feet.

"Krishna! Madhava! How mercy you are! You rendered abundant blessings on me today! I'm stifling to find the right words to praise you! What a compassionate divine you are !", Said Jaya Deva.

The king became a bit calm, "My Lord Shiva! Your words became true now", said to himself.

Soon after then, Jaya Deva and the king went inside the room where Padmavathi body was there. Jaya Deva had been singing the God's glory, not even Knowing that God has come. 

"Jaya Deva!", said Lord Vishnu.

He opened his eyes and then subsequently he was overwhelmed with extreme happiness.

"I am pleased with your devotion. You itself can get her back then Why you're asking me to save her?", God asked.

"If I do so, I would get pride in myself. Nothing in this universe could happen without your knowledge and blessings. Only you can protect the entire cosmos", said Jaya Deva.

"Padma! Are you still sleeping? Wake up", said Lord Vishnu. Padmavathi woken up on next second.

"Jaya Deva! My blessings would always there on you people! Diffuse the Bhakthi Marga around everywhere. Rebound the process of writing bhagavatham," said Lord Vishnu.

Jaya Deva, Padma and the king had been floating on cloud nine for a while aftermath Jaya Deva resumed the process of writing bhagavatham. 

Conclusion

The king subsumed himself with in all Jaya Deva's endeavour. Jaya Deva and padmavathi diffused the glory of God all around the corner, as further more they preached about the purpose of human birth, ways to reach God and the types of Bhakthi.

Thus, Jaya Deva and padmavathi performed the divine task till their last breath. And both had Passed away while reciting the glory of God. Jaya Deva has been living through his poetry and it yet guide human beings in right path.
